BUSY-NESS!!

These few weeks have been hectic. The kids are gonna have their CAs soon and we teachers are losing sleep with setting the papers and stuff. My P6s are having their prelims next week! Arrgghh...!! I'm the one who is stressed out. They don't look at all nervous I tell you..

My P6 kids are one happy-go-lucky bunch. Kids nowadays seem to care less. All they know is to come to school late, hand in their sloppy work late, run amok in school and make the teachers run amok in school. I don't remember myself doing all these during my primary school days. Although I did come late for my PSLE Oral. I remember my mom and I running and puffing through the school gate and apologizing profusely to the teacher-in-charge. I was NEVER late for school. Never. And of all the days to choose be late.

And it happened again in secondary school! Again, being the early bird of the school (self-proclaimed), I was never late. And unfortunately, I chose a PERFECT day to be late. No, this time, it's not the 'O' Levels. It was during the National Day celebrations. I was appointed to be the parade commander for that day. It was such an honour. Coz I wasn't even a high-ranking NCCian and I wasn't the chiong-all-the-way type. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

That morning, thinking I'll come extra, EXTRA early, I decided to take a cab. Stupid cab drivers who go into hiding before the peak hour surcharge! I waited for a whole 45 minutes!! I hate cab drivers. Till now. Yet I still depend on them for my early morning ride to school. Wait till I get my own car. Hmph!

So to cut the story short, I huffed and puffed all the way from the school gate to the parade square, only to find out I was a nano second late. It was heart-wrenching. Me, all decked out in my smart No. 3 uniform, decided to pour buckets in the loo. Boo hoo...

Anyway, I still got the demerit points for that. I still got punished for being late on an important occassion. Stupid Mrs Siah (the discipline mistress) who made me run around the school.

I miss my Crescent days. That's when I met my first boyfriend, who has now become my hubby. Awww.... *fluttering eyelashes*
