NIE Investiture Ceremony

What a week!

No... not because it's full of happenings and surprises. But because it's so, damn boring. The kids are back to school, WE, teachers, are reluctantly back too, busier than ever. With preparing the kids for the upcoming PSLE and stuff.

New teachers, baked-fresh from the NIE Confectionary, like moi, we're still wishing that 'back to school' means, well, back to school. Bring on the books, assignments, long, winding lectures, FREEDOM! Hanging out with my buddies was THE best of all. Bowling, eating at Hjh Maimunah, Karaoke-ing, eating at Swensens, BBQ, eating at countless times at JP Banquet, shopping, eating at Simpang Bedok till the wee hours of the morning, going home only when it started to pour like mad, and so so much more....

Sigh....
Fun time is over gals..

Anyway, it was great meeting up with my buds again at the Convo on Wednesday. Even though thru'out the 2 hours we're there, we only got like about 10 seconds of fame on the stage, it was still a sad day for us, well, at least for me. It marked a new chapter in our lives. Ceh bah...

I think that day was, like it or not, the last we're ever gonna see each other together again. We're now so busy as the Fresh-from-the-oven teachers that getting together like that is gonna be a luxury.

So I dedicate this post to all my buddies, all 13 of 'em, who have toiled with me thru the s**t. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!

And I dedicate my diploma to my Arwah Granny, who didn't get to see me or any of her cucus wear the robe, while she was here. I love you and miss you Granny...
